As of 5/1/2020
After much discussion between the Black Canyon Boys & Girls Club (BGBGC) board & staff, the Festival committee, our venue, and major Festival sponsors, it was with a sad heart we have chosen to cancel the 2020 Montrose Wine & Food Festival. As this Festival is a major fundraiser for operating funds for the BCBGC, it was a difficult decision to make but the safety of our community is of the utmost importance. With the unclear future of what social distancing precautions will be, especially when the Festival typically sees several hundred people (with a top attendance year last year with 1,000 people) there was no feasible way to hold the Festival in May or even determine a possible postponement date. All previously purchased sponsorships and tickets will be refunded in the coming weeks. Stay tuned to the Festival's Facebook page later in the month for an online auction for some of the silent auction items already donated by generous local businesses. And don't worry - the Festival, presented by Alpine Bank, will be back in full swing in 2021!
With that, it was previously stated that the Festival's mini-event, A Taste of Colorado, originally set to be held in early April 2020 was postponed to a TBD date this summer. This event has also been officially cancelled but is set to occur in 2021 as well.
The 2021 Festival will presented by Alpine Bank
Thank you Alpine Bank for your continued support of the Festival
All proceeds from the event benefit the Black Canyon Boys & Girls Club which supports Montrose and Olathe. In fact, the Montrose Wine & Food Festival is one of the Club's main sources of income annually. Club relies solely on fundraisers and grants to keep the Club operating; no funding is received from Boys & Girls Club of America. So your ticket purchase, sponsorship, volunteer efforts, or vendor participation helps to make great futures start here. Let's drink to that!
