About the BCBGC (Black Canyon Boys & Girls Club)

The Black Canyon Boys & Girls Club, Inc. was founded on the Western Slope of Colorado in December 1999 in response to a lack of structured yet fun after-school and summer activities for youth in Montrose County Colorado. The first Club site was opened in the City of Montrose, while a second site was added in the Town of Olathe in 2002. Unfortunately, the Olathe site had to close in 2020 due to COVID-19 restrictions and the BCBGC inability to have the Festival; a Festival which brings in a quarter of the BCBGC's annual operating budget. However, the BCBGC continues to be at the forefront of youth development by providing programming that focuses on: social & emotional development, educational enhancement & leadership skills, and healthy lifestyles.

Working with young people from various backgrounds and circumstances, the BCBGC has actively sought to enrich the lives of all girls and boys within our community. We are dedicated to working in partnership with the parents, guardians, and all others that are concerned with the positive youth development process of the youth that we serve.
